The Stars This Week - 12/04/06 - 12/10/06

There is plenty of information flying back and forth as this week begins with a full Moon in communication-oriented Gemini on December 4. Then Saturn, the builder, turns retrograde on December 5, and you'll begin a thorough review of your life plans. Mars, the action planet, enters free-spirited Sagittarius on December 5 followed by Mercury on December 8, and your restlessness will prompt you to break out of old routines.

December 4: Full Moon in Gemini

Gemini, the data collector, loves to exchange information, so get ready during this full Moon for ringing phones, lots of email and plenty of IMing back and forth. It seems like everybody has something to say! But watch for information overload. Erratic Uranus squares this full Moon, making last-minute changes in plans likely. Do yourself a favor and be flexible. Emotions are heightened during full Moon periods anyway, and with this Uranus energy in the mix, you may feel extra frazzled. However, this is a great time to socialize. If you're not busy you could get restless or bored, so make sure to spend time chatting with your favorite people.

December 5: Saturn turns retrograde

Saturn turns retrograde once a year, giving us time to review our lives and make sure that what we're aiming for is still what we want. (Retrogrades are always about going back over territory you've already been through.) This retrograde period will last until April 19, 2007. Saturn represents our responsibilities, our rules for living, how we construct our lives, and where we need to put our boundaries. There are areas of your life now where it will be important to step back, review and see how you can support yourself more effectively. Facing limitations and ending of old ways of living may be a part of this time.

December 5: Mars enters Sagittarius

Do you feel restless? Are you ready for an adventure? No wonder! As Mars, the planet of action, transits through Sagittarius, the travel sign, leave behind your day-to-day routines and get your passport up-to-date, because it's definitely time to journey out of your comfort zone. Whether you get on a bike, a plane or roller blades, make sure you use this dynamic energy to go somewhere. What is the most important now is to travel outside of your own neighborhood, both literally and metaphorically, to really enjoy this transit lasting until January 16, 2007.

December 8: Mercury enters Sagittarius

Mercury in fiery, outspoken Sagittarius loves to preach! You'll have lots of thoughts and ideas you'll want to talk about. Although there can be a tendency to blurt out whatever is on your mind, nothing beats this placement for enthusiasm and an optimistic frame of mind. Be tactful but inspiring to get the most out of this transit. Because Sagittarius is a sign that represents any culture or country foreign to you, this is a great time to sign up for a language class.
