The Stars This Week : 12/19/05 - 12/25/05

Between the Sun's arrival in grounded, efficient Capricorn and Mercury's trine to taskmaster Saturn, the 21st is shaping up to be quite a day for embracing grown-up responsibility. An easy sextile between Mercury and Neptune on the 25th, though, will temper that seriousness with dreams -- big, whimsical dreams. Find a balance between confidence in your ideas and respect for sage advice in order to make the most of it.

December 21: Sun into Capricorn, Mercury trine Saturn

It's all about being a real, live grown-up today. Forget being frivolous, extravagant or even mildly irresponsible. No matter what you're faced with, the only option, in your mind, will be to do the right thing. You're all about 'just the facts, ma'am' -- and won't stand for playing around. Will you automatically turn into the authority figure on duty? Depends if there's anyone else in the vicinity with more appropriate credentials -- in your book, that is.

December 25: Mercury sextile Neptune

'If you can dream it, you can have it' -- ever heard those words, or something similar? If you have, put them into action now, with full confidence that the universe is on your side. Cerebral, thoughtful Mercury is making easy contact with whimsical, woozy Neptune -- the stuff that not just dreams, but great big dreams are made of. However, if you come up with an idea that seems too good to be true, even if it sounds perfectly rational to you at the time, call on someone whose advice you trust -- just for the heck of it, and definitely before you take action. Hey, it can't hurt, and it might definitely help.
